JOB DESCRIPTION: Job title: Senior BI/Cognos Reports Developer Location: Atlanta, Georgia Remote Rate:$42/hr on C2C Max Client: State of GA (GTRI-Enterprise Systems Department) In this role, the Senior BI/Cognos Reports Developer at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), Enterprise Systems Department (ESD) will bring an expert level of experience for developing reporting solutions which enable users to make business decisions. This individual will work closely with key partners/stakeholders to gather requirements, design, build, enhance reports and dashboards and other ad-hoc queries. These solutions will be developed by accessing our various data warehouse and operations systems. The Senior BI/Cognos Reports Developer will work directly with the GTRI business user community and business analysts to define and document reporting/dashboard requirements to support Under broad supervision, designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs computer software. Researches and analyzes program or systems problems and develops program documentation. Translates business requirements into development activities in secure and maintainable code. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in computer science or management information systems AND Six years of related experience. Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience In-depth understanding of database management systems, SQL database design, SQL queries, BI technologies (Cognos/Tableau), database management system Required Years Proficient in one or two of the following - Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Probability Analysis, and Time-series analysis Required Years Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate business requirements into complex data analyses and actionable insi Required 6 Years Knowledge of Data visualization platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools Required Years 10+ years experience SQL & relational databases (Writing Complex Queries), Required Years -- Keywords: business intelligence active directory information technology green card Georgia |
