Role:-Sr. Business Analyst Location:- Remote Role (But need to be at least an hour away from Sacramento, CA) Duration:-2- years Contract Interview:- Phone then Video Interview JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidates must have public sector experience (state, federal, government) Yes, we're currently looking for 2 Sr BA and the client needs candidates ASAP 1. Five (5) years experience performing a variety of business analyst functions such as each of the following: a. Assessment of analysis scope and tasks; b. Planning business analysis tasks; c Elicitation, definitions and documentation of various business, user, and system requirements; d. Writing functional design specifications; e Requirements traceability matrices; f Perform analysis for business process improvement, application design and workflow automation; g. Documenting as-is and to-be processes h. Modeling and documenting functional designs and process workflows; I. Developing test scripts; j. Transition plans and/or implementation requirements; k. Managing/updating configuration; l. Implementing best practice solutions; m. Providing ongoing support as required; and n. Leading and working within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts (SMEs), architects, developers, and testers. 2.Five (5) years experience following system development lifecycles (SDLCs) in order to identify, evaluate, and recommend business or technical requirements applied to the design and development of systems and networks. 3. Five (5) years experience with working directly with end users in a production support environment. 4. Five (5) years facilitating, collaborating, and negotiating with all levels of stakeholders, up to, and including executive level decision makers. 5. Three (3) years expertise with complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as requirement traceability matrixes, as-is and to-be diagrams, Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description. 6. Three (3) years experience working independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and demonstrating problem-solving skills. 7. Two (2) years experience with process analysis; systems analysis; process architectures and systems analysis methodologies; and project management methodologies including both Waterfall and Agile. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (DKES) The Contractor may provide experienced resources that individually meet any and/or all of the DKES for the appropriate role(s) as follows: All experience used to meet the DKES shall have been where the staff (consultant) had primary responsibility. Refer to ATTACHMENT E, INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATE SKILL SUMMARY SHEET of RFO No. 22IT-OIS002. JOB/ROLE TITLE DKES 1. Two (2) years experience using SQL or other query tools to perform analysis. 2. Three (3) years experience using requirements management industry best practices. 3. Three (3) years experience developing training plans and training end users of all levels. 4. Two (2) years experience refining solutions for requirements management methodology. 5. Two (2) years experience facilitating joint application design (JAD) and/or collaborative design sessions. 6. Two (2) years experience mentoring less experienced business analysts to develop their skills. 7. Two (2) years experience working with State of California government Environmental Information Technology (IT) offices. 8. Two (2) years experience working with PAL processes and documentation.
