This is a long-term opportunity. The opportunity requires the candidate to be able to work ON-SITE at the Clients Central Office located in Richmond, VA, at least 3 days/wk. The candidate applying must be living closer to Richmond, VA area within a 50 Mile Radius (Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia Area) and willing to move to Richmond, VA, for the ON-SITE Position. Must have 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Database Administration (Linux Servers and Window Servers) - versions 12c,19c,21c 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Database Setup/Installation/Patching/Upgrade 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Database backup/restore/duplication 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Cloud Control Support & Administration 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Database Performance & Tuning 5+ Years of Experience with Oracle Database Administration - OCI/Exadata 2+ Years of Experience with Oracle Administration - Advanced Features (RAC) Job Responsibilities Work with a team of Oracle/SQLServer DBAs. Perform installations of database-related software. (including database upgrades and patching). Monitor databases to maintain/ensure database uptime and availability. Troubleshoot application/database issues related to connectivity, access, security and etc. Tune long-running SQL using AWR/ASH/ADDM/Profiler and etc. Review & refine existing database tasks and processes to better align with agency/group priorities. Perform database migrations between multiple releases of Oracle12c,19c, and 21c using data pump export/import, and RMAN database duplication procedures. Working Experience in OCI/ Exadata Design, Migration, and Administrative support Leverage & utilize cron and O/S scripting in support of database maintenance/diagnosis/support. Review the existing database implementation and propose, execute, and/or direct necessary changes. The successful candidate will be capable of performing an analysis of the effectiveness of the existing system and clearly communicating reasoned justification for continuance and update or alternative approaches. Preferred: 3+ Years of Experience with Oracle Administration - Advanced Features (Data Guard) 1+ Years of Experience with Oracle Administration - Advanced Features (Partitioning) OCI / Exadata Certification is a BIG PLUS.
