Position: Data Analyst with Cobol Experience ( 100% Remote) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6 + Months Job Description: Perform technical data mapping analysis. Deliver and execute conversion project milestones for the full project life cycle from initiation through project closure. Design and document complex technical requirements for business applications. Partner with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions. Create data conversion mapping specifications and/or programs. Ensure quality of data conversion suite including holding quality inspections. Validate offline System and Output testing of data conversion files. Debug complex code and processes. Plan and participate in mocks and other client events in conjunction with client and Client partners. Build partnerships with clients, product owners, application development teams, and program management colleagues. Monitor and report progress. Identify risks and issues; manage and escalate appropriately . What you will need to have: High School diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years' experience in a client-facing role. 2+ years' experience in testing and validation of output, reports, and financial balancing. Previous IT or Business Analysis experience. Demonstrated work experience in Banking or Implementations. Fiserv DNA experience is a plus Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with focus on Excel, Access, and Word. Travel required: 1-2 trips annually . What would be great to have: 5+ years' experience in COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX. 5+ years' experience with MS Excel, VBA, and/or Python. Bachelor's degree IT, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics. Experience in converting to new credit issuing platforms, especially OptisExperience with and knowledge of Client production programs and processes. Understanding of the Issuing Industry and associated products. Analytical and critical thinking skills, and meticulous attention to detail including the ability to analyze and/or code data from different platforms in order to integrate the data into a Client platform.
