| Position: Release Manager Location: Kansas City Day 1 On-site Job description Own and drive the project/product releases across business units, including tracking of timelines, scope, and environment. Ensure readiness of test environments and deployment processes in coordination with the DevOps team and project teams (i.e. building an automated deployment pipeline and associated processes) Coordinate with necessary stakeholders like Dev, QA, production, environments, and maintenance teams to plan for timely release. Manage deployment scope for each environment (i.e. what is deployed and where) Publish release plan for various applications and components, as per inputs from Dev and business teams Identify release risks and challenges and build necessary plans. Continuously improvise the release processes, templates, and practices Build and manage effective metrics and reporting processes for release management. Identify resourcing & infrastructure requirements for release management and raise necessary requests , proactively. Skill set requirements. Experience in project management, vendor management and working with diverse teams Proven experience in Release management for large enterprise Experience as an Environments Manager with a demonstrated understanding of team management. Experience in the use of Application Release Automation tools such as Puppet, Build Master and Visual Studio Release Management Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and associated technologies including cloud, VMs, etc Good understanding of building workflows and processes around releasing code through multiple environments. Be capable of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications and managing stakeholder needs.
