| Job Description: QA Tester with Federal Exp Location: Washington DC (Initial Remote) Long Term Need 8+ years consultants. USC and Locals Only Required Skills : At least Eight (8) years of experience with testing in software development projects. At least five (5) years of experience preparing test plans and test cases that ensure developed application functionality meets business requirements and system goals. Must have five (5) years of experience working with quality control methods and tools and at least three (3) years of experience in verification and validation, software testing and integration, software metrics, and their application to software quality assessment, and a demonstrated knowledge of system and project life cycles. Experience in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects (including using test automation, test strategy, developing and executing test scripts and test plans) Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-written documentation; must possess excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Responsibilities: Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios. Executing tests on software usability. Analysing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability. Creating and executing test plans and cases to ensure software functionality, identifying defects, and verifying fixes. Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues. Conducting various types of testing (functional, regression, performance) to ensure software meets quality standards. Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team. Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems. Documenting test results, tracking defects, and providing clear feedback to improve software quality. Staying updated on testing methodologies and tools, contributing to continuous improvement in testing processes. Specialized Experience: Experience in quality assurance concepts and best practices Experience creating test cases and writing automation test scripts. Experience in running tests for application functions.
