Manage and support Storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning and zoning of new servers. Storage Provisioning tasks. (create and allocate LUNs to server environment) ISILON object storage Administration. Exp in NAS EMC & Hitachi (Vantara) / Block EMC & Hitachi (Vantara) storage work, Object - Hitachi (Vantara). EMC & Hitachi tools experience is most desired. Analyze backup software performance accordingly to meet client needs and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures Provide backup system data statistics to management. Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability. Monitor usage and performance of storage and perform capacity planning for storage growth to management. Manage storage and backup changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties. Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement an action plan when required. Expected to work during off-peak hours on system activities (e.g. patching, upgrade) Identify, research, and resolve technical problems Be able to effectively operate within set guidelines, policies and procedures, and able to execute instructions with minimal supervision 24x7 Operations Support Position 2 : Role: Storage Admin Location: St Louis, MO Onsite day 1 (100%) Duration: 6 months C2H Onsite day 1 (100%) Visa: Any, also fine if agree to transfer after3 months Openings: 1 Responsibilities: Experience in NAS EMC & Hitachi (Vantara) / Block EMC & Hitachi (Vantara) storage work, Object - Hitachi (Vantara). Most desired to have EMC & Hitachi tools experience for storage. Should have basic knowledge and experience to manage the online backup modules such as Oracle, MSSQL, SAP, NDMP etc. Intermediate level of knowledge on Infrastructure such as Unix, Database, Windows Should have good understanding of ITIL - Incident , Problem and Change Management Responsible for handling day-to-day issues related to the Backup Servers assigned. Responsible to update the assigned incidents with right resolutions as performed on the cases Should escalate the cases which requires intervention by other teams Communication to the requesters on their cases in timely manner Should collaborate with-in team and Technical Consultants to discuss the pending cases to arrive at resolutions Should flash high-risk cases to the Leads so that relevant MIMP cycles are initiated.
