Title: SQL Server / Azure DBA (Cloud Migration) Location: Remote OK (local to Schaumburg, IL preferred) Summary: - This is a Database migration role with experience in SQL Server and Azure - Azure Managed Instance is a must have - Oracle are nice to have Must have experience. - 6 to 8 years of IT Industry experience working as SQL Server DBA. - 3+ years of SQL Server DBA experience on mid to large scale database environments - 2+ years of experience administrating Azure SQL Managed Instance - Experience in online replication of databases - Experience in SQL Server security hardening - Experience in database backup and restoration - Strong knowledge of RDBMS architecture, SQL tuning expertise for SQL Server - Flexible work timings to provide overlap with onsite team as per project requirement. - Excellent interpersonal skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills. - A good team player, flexible, share knowledge and help others. Good to have. - Oracle - PL/SQL troubleshooting. - Experience working in Linux environments. - Experience in writing shell (PowerShell ideally) and SQL scripts.
