| Share profiles at [email protected] Role: Java Developer Location: NYC, NY ( Hybrid work, but expected to go to the office 4 days a week at 245 Park Ave, NY) Type: Contract Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the Java environment and contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance Act as subject matter expert in the code, mentor team members, set standards and best practices, focusing in quality and continuous delivery. Knowledge/Experience A graduate level education with a focus on either: computer science, mathematics, engineering 5+ years of Java experience, with in depth knowledge of the Spring Framework and java internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc) Ability to implement efficient software to handle large quantities of data (billions of rows) and real-time streaming data (millions of messages per day). A passion for developing software and solving difficult problems with simple solutions Excellent skills in DB Schema design and SQL development Experience with Java testing tools (Spock, Junit, Mockito) and continuous integration (Jenkins) Proficient with version control systems (Git, SVN) Strong business acumen, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and oral and written communication skills Fixed income a plus Working knowledge Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus -- Keywords: database information technology golang California New York |
