Location: Albany, NY Duration: 24 Months Job Description Description: The consultant will be performing testing tasks including: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for manual as well as automated testing to address business use cases Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities Validate the data mapping of the fields between the legacy and the PORTS & Grants systems Document, report, track, assign, and escalate defects appropriately; perform thorough regression testing when defects are resolved Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Pilot Testing Provide guidelines, reviews and support to developers and business analysts creating unit tests and integrating them into the build cycles. Manage testing activities, including UI automation, integration testing, performance, and scalability testing Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities. Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance. Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) Conduct Responsive and Web accessibility testing Conduct Cross-browser testing to test systems across multiple browsers and settings Work with end users to ensure acceptance testing is thorough and complete. Mandatory Qualification: Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence. Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Bachelor level or higher degree in computer science computer engineering, math or related engineering fields. 60 months of experience in creating test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for manual testing 60 months of experience in performing manual testing activities. 60 months of experience in validating the data mapping of the fields between the legacy and newly developed systems 60 months of experience in documenting, reporting, tracking, assigning, and escalating defects appropriately; performing thorough regression testing when defects are resolved 60 months of experience in providing guidelines, reviews and support to developers and business analysts creating unit tests and integrating them into the build cycles. 60 months of experience in ensuring that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance 60 months experience using industry recognized testing tools such as soapUI, Selenium Suite (Selenium IDE, Selenium Server, Selenium Remote Control, Selenium Grid, Selenium Java Client Driver); Agile; Silk Test; HPE Unified Functional Testing (UFT), HP LoadRunner, HP Performance Center 60 months experience in Responsive and Web accessibility testing and Cross-browser testing to test systems across multiple browsers and settings 60 months experience with MS Office including Excel, Word, Power Point 60 months of government experience.
