Must be a proven problem solver that is an active listener, excellent communicator with exceptional program and program & project management capabilities. Must have worked with Workday HR related suite of products. Must have experience working in a Scaled Agile setup (SAFe). Drives & coaches team to deliver using SAFe framework and best practices. Work with the VP, IT Program Management to further enhance and improve the adoption of Agile and SAFe. Throughout the delivery lifecycle, obtains feedback to ensure that project & program efforts meet customer expectations within the constraints of time, cost, scope and quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Manage multiple tracks of work and scrum teams within a large scale transformative program for the implementation of an Applied s Epic Agency Management System with multiple complex integrations and/or data migrations all within established PMO standards & processes Will have a dotted-line report to the IT PMO Program Manager for the program Using the SAFe model, ability to plan & drive multiple scrum teams, prepare for & participate in PI planning sessions with Program Manager, drive backlog refinement for each Sprint in conjunction with the Scrum Team, and prioritization sessions with the Program Manager and the Business/Product Owner, while ensuring the team is working on having a refined/groomed backlog a couple of sprints ahead to ensure a steady pipeline of work for the Scrum Teams During PI Execution, effectively conduct Sprint/Iteration Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, setup/track/report on the velocity of each Scrum Teams, work with the Program Manager to manage cross-functional/cross-track dependencies, escalate risks and issues & changes Setup/maintain the Azure DevOps board for the assigned workstreams and Will be expected to be an Agile (SAFe) Champion, coaching other members of the Scrum Team deliver using established SAFe practices, work with peers and cross-functional partners collaboratively Ability to adhere to AP IT PMO Standards and framework for Governance and general Program & Project Management Best Practices Drive for transparency, accountability for self and others & for quality in delivery & deliverables Extensive experience collaborating with IT Functional groups and business operations on projects and programs Ability to understand the organization quickly and be demonstrate ability to navigate it Align program, projects and operations to APs strategic objectives Drive efficiencies related to project execution, share best practices with the IT PMO Establish and manage program & aligned project scope, timeline, track budget/spend/Variances Provide clarity around program scope, goal and expected benefits Capture and drive Change Control on the program that can include new requirements, features, functions, operational constraints, regulatory demands and technical enhancements Facilitate estimation and management of the financial resources of a project or program Identify & manage risks, develop mitigation & contingencies to respond to the risk. Understand how to navigate the program to getting back on track when issues are on hand. Escalate to leadership as needed Produce Regular Project Status Reporting - Track and work with workstream leads to report project/program statuses on a timely basis to Program Manager, IT leadership, stakeholders and sponsors Assess and forecast resource needs and ongoing resource allocation on project, performs impact analysis on staffing where scope may have changed as well as effective use of metrics, and reporting. Collaborate with Procurement (as needed) to assess vendors, SOWs, RFPs, RFQs and other project related contracts Establish Program Communication Plan - Understands the various audience groups and communicate accordingly. Other duties as assigned. Some travel will be required, as needed. Required Qualifications: Proven experience managing large scale, multi-year HRIS transformative program and projects in Insurance and/or Banking software applications. Experience in implementing Applieds Epic AMS is strongly preferred Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience managing application development projects within IT Minimum of 1-2 years of working in a SAFe setup Exceptional oral & written communication skills, customer service & design thinking mindset, and collaborative skills In-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, SAFe Implementation practices & PMI methodology for project management Experience with Azure DevOps and Smartsheet (or similar tools) Other Highly Preferred Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience implementing SaaS and cloud solutions Experience and/or demonstrated experience in systems architecture and IT operations Experience with acquisition and merger of new companies into existing IT operations Experience with systems integration (i.e. Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, third-party systems) Facilitation experience for conducting stakeholder meetings Familiar with Joint Application Design (JAD) session, rapid prototyping and similar approaches Familiar with business process design concepts and principles SAFe certifications are a plus and preferred; PMP certification is a plus Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with Information Technology or Software Engineering emphasis.
