Role: COGNOS REPORT DEVELOPER, Location: BROADWAY, NY Duration: 12 months (35 hours/week) Note: Prefer consultants from Tri State | Minimum 14 years of experience Must Have COGNOS REPORT DEVELOPER with EAM Critical Key requirements A minimum of 5-7 years experience in using the Cognos reporting solution. Preferably 1-2 years working experience with Railroad/Transit industry. Preferably 3-4 years hands-on experience with enterprise data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Minimum 5 years HxGN EAM (or other EAM/enterprise data management software) experience. Minimum 5 years of IT related experience Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and implementing Cognos reporting solutions, including modelling, design, development and testing of data visualization or paginated report solutions A thorough understanding of the Cognos architecture and development best practices. Experience of the full project development lifecycle with Cognos Products, Cognos 8.2 Framework Manager, Query Studio and Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Metrics Studio. Understanding of SDK and the use of java script and HTML in Cognos8 Strong ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously and work within tight deadlines. Experience working in an Agile project delivery model is an asset. Understanding of complex relational database organization, design, and functionality. Ability to communicate clearly in conversation and in presentations to both technical and non-technical staff and to provide updates to all levels of management and stakeholders. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment. Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter.
