K6 tool experience is added advantage Rate as low as possible Open for Contract The Engineer, Software Performance Testing is an experienced professional who participates in leading, creating and extending quality practices throughout clients products. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in healthcare or a related industry. This person works as part of a team to design and develop effective test strategies and tools as well as maintain current portfolio. You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products. Responsibilities: Participate in all test aspects of the product development lifecycle from gathering requirements to functional, system, regression and non-functional testing. Create and review nonfunctional requirement test cases to maximize the potential for Performance Testing Implement programmatic tests at varying scope (component integration, system integration, performance) Effectively isolate and analyze defects providing detailed steps and conditions or defect reproduction. Design and implement tools and frameworks to simplify test development, including simulators/mocks and data generators including integration into our CI platform. Provide peer feedback in design and code reviews Design & Execute performance tests using tools like K6 or Jmeter Create PT reports using tools like Grafana to share with stakeholders Required Knowledge and Skills: Programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages Strong Performance testing expertise in K6 using Java Script Experience creating Performance tests and leveraging test frameworks interfacing with some of the following: RESTful services Message Queues Relational Databases Web Applications Hands on scripting experience with one of the Performance Testing tools is a must Experience in working with monitoring tools like DataDog Experience testing and validating SaaS-based solutions at scale. Preferably AWS A can-do attitude and ability to make a positive impact on our culture Ability to always put the customer first. Experience with testing web services with tools such SOAtest, Postman, JMeter etc. Basic Requirements: Bachelors degree Computer Science or related field 10+ years experience in software engineering 10+ Years experience with software performance testing using JMeter or similar tool. K6 tool experience is added advantage Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Design, execute and manage a repeatable set of non-functional tests Setting up Performance testing strategy/Approach for multiple teams Experience in defining Performance testing SLOs Experience in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, performance test execution and analysis of performance test results. Strong performance testing experience ideally with Apache JMeter Experience of triaging performance bottlenecks by understanding the right questions to ask SMEs from teams such as networks, database administration, etc. 10+ Years' experience creating performance and scalability tests using JMeter, Locust, Blaze Meter Previous experience with front end and API automation would be a plus M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other engineering fields of study 1+ Years' experience with UI test tools 1+ Years' experience interfacing with CI/CD tools 3+ Years experience in cloud technologies like CloudFront, Kubernetes, Docker, VPC, Octopus, etc. 1+ Years experience with automation testing of microservices and Restful API's 1+ Years Healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR.
