Job Title: Production Support/ Synon Tech Analyst Client: Cognizant/ OptumRX Location: Remote (CST) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: We are looking for highly talented and motivated people to join the team to maintain a mission critical application that runs on the IBM iSeries system. Application scope is increasing as new functionalities are developed and large projects implemented. Role involves to review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs. Also includes overseeing environments health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required Weekend support rotation may be in 4-6 weeks in rotation Experience: 7-11 years Top 3 Must Haves: 1.Synon 2. RPG/CLLE/RPGLE/Cobol 3. SQL and data analysis Roles & Responsibilities: Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks Provide support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution Support the team for application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 by 24 by 365 basis Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards Work with business to prioritize production issue resolution Work with the Service Manager in process improvement initiatives as directed by the service Should be proficient with iSeries with experience in RPGLE, SQL, CL, COBOL.
