Job Description - DevOps Engineer Client:- State of WI MOI:- Two rounds of interviews held virtually with final selection after second round Experienced DevOps Application Support Engineer for automation and support of the Java DevOps environment. This position will automate the CI/CD pipeline and support development, deployment, integration, refactoring, and scripting needs for the DevOps environment and offender management application systems. Under the direction of the managers, the DevOps Engineer is responsible for performing task assignments to modernize and support our existing DevOps environment. This position will perform the duties for the Data Systems Section as a Support Lead and a DevOps SME. These assignments are key to moving all of our web applications and integrations onto the new platform in the next 2+ years. The DevOps environment is imperative in order to meet the business demand of delivering new technology solutions in a timely manner. Candidate must live in the State of Wisconsin. 100% remote work. Top Skills & Years of Experience: - Java Development 4 Years - Java Microservices 4 Years - CI/CD Automation - 3-4 Years - DevOps Support - 3-4 Years GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Argo CD, Nexus, Kustomize, Maven, Junit, JMeter, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud, KeyCloak, Okta, AzureAD and Relational Databases. The candidate should have exposure and experience with tools built with Agile and DevOps principles in mind. This contractor will perform CI/CD automation, environment updates and upgrades, Java microservice development, refactoring and support in the DevOps environment. These task assignments are required in order to support the integration development for offender management systems, other state agencies, and external entities (i.e., State Local Law Enforcement and the FBI). This position will be responsible automating and optimizing our DevOps environment and support of the APIs and microservices. The candidate should have extensive exposure and experience in automating, developing, and supporting a Java DevOps environment: --Language (Java) Issue Management (Jira) CI/CD (GitLab, Rancher, Argo CD, Nexus Repository, Kustomize, Maven) -- Unit tests (JUnit) Performance Test Scripts(JMeter) --Frameworks for backend (Spring Boot and Spring Cloud) Code Scan (SonarQube) App Scan (Prisma Cloud) Authentication and Authorization (KeyCloak, Okta, AzureAD) Containers (Docker) --Orchestration (Kubernetes) --Backend development principles (Database and cache, server, microservices and API (REST & SOAP).
