The Automation Enablement team is focused on building the capabilities of the client's community by enabling Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a goal of creating operating efficiencies, reducing risk, and improving client experience. Position Summary: Ansible or Chef experience is mandatory. The Cloud Infrastructure Developer will focus on providing the capabilities and training needed for client's staff to adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage their platform and/or software, with a goal to deliver self-service capabilities that enable the client community and improve customer experience. They will manage their work using agile practices and will use software development principles including version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Specific Responsibilities: Define and document standards and best practices for writing Infrastructure as Code Contribute to an Automation Tools Strategy. Provide side by side consulting of Infrastructure Developers as they begin their coding journey. Create automated solutions that enable Infrastructure Developers to test and promote their code with integrated security & compliance. Provide Infrastructure as Code as a service when needed. Maintain and enhance automated solutions for shared services. Identify continuous improvement opportunities for existing automated solutions and implement enhancements. Identify bugs and issues with existing automated solutions and implement fixes. Administration of our automation tools including but not limited to: user access, monitoring environment health, performing application upgrades, designing infrastructure to meet capacity, performance, and availability needs, providing knowledge transfer to level one support teams, opening support cases with vendor and escalation as needed. Identify pain points and inefficient processes and develop creative automated solutions to solve them. Evaluate return on investment of automation opportunities to aid in prioritization. Establish ways to measure the value our automated solutions will realize for our customers. Promote the benefits of automation by contributing to communications outlining the value our solutions provide to the organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline. 5 plus years of experience writing code to manage Infrastructure or Applications. Knowledge of configuration management tools and concepts as well as experience coding with at least one tool. Basic knowledge of Infrastructure components such as storage, networking, and server. Basic Knowledge of AWS Cloud and Services especially ec2 Good communication skills and problem-solving ability Desire to learn new technologies and programming languages Preferred but not required: Knowledge of the Red Hat Linux Operating System Experience developing Chef cookbooks or administering the Chef Server Experience coding with Terraform Experience developing Ansible Playbooks and administering Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform Experience with Linux Shell Scripting and/or Python coding Experience working with AWS cloud services Experience using git for version control and working knowledge of gitflow Experience using Scrum or Kanban to manage tasks Keywords: information technology green card Florida Texas |
