All expenses will be covered.*** Note: The successful candidate will specialize in troubleshooting technical problems and implementing solutions for customers with a specific focus on Networking technologies. The Network Engineer will assist with areas such as VPNs, cross datacenter connectivity, encryption, routing protocols such as BGP, and layer2/layer3 issues. You should expect to provide 24/7 support for production customer workloads. Responsibilities: Implement networking solutions to support Google Distributed Cloud - Hosted in a partner managed environment Manage networking issues through effective diagnosis to resolution Develop an in-depth understanding of Google's product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, and building tools for faster diagnosis. Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensures 24-hour customer support. This will include a need to sometimes work non-standard work hours or shifts. Qualifications Background in in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing, etc) Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
