This role involves operation and maintenance of virtual server environment for data center and lab office. Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and manage all aspects of the VMware Vsphere environment including creating virtual machines, installing new ESXi hosts, datastore creation and maintenance, P2Vs, and troubleshooting performance issues - Monitoring of Network and Application Environments - Generate Operations Reports related to system capacity and utilization. - Provide support for QA & Technical Support staff. - Performs regular system maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning. - Troubleshoots Windows and ESX server OS issues; independently utilizes all available resources to ensure timely resolution of server issues. - Manage and complete assigned tasks and tickets in a timely and proficient manner - Ensure/implement the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications and/or Services (Hardware & Software). - You will be required to be on-call.
