[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Need US Citizen and Green card Holders Title: Java System Architect Location: Trenton NJ (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Under the supervision of the NJS manager, the system architect is in charge of devising, configuring, operating, and maintaining software architecture for NJS. The system architect needs to conduct a thorough review of NJS application to make recommendations to the NJS Manager on framework upgrades, high-level structure, security, performance, and maintainability to enhance the NJS application, while preserving the core functionality of the application. Collaborates with development and analyst team to ensure implementation aligns with intended design. Evaluate the existing Java Struts 1.1 application and identify areas for improvement, modernization, and optimization. Design architectural blueprint for modernizing the application, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. Develop a migration strategy that minimizes disruptions to ensure a seamless transition to the new architecture. The architect will build out the planned IT architecture model. They will recommend specific IT hardware, software, methodologies, and approaches to help the business achieve the desired outcome. They will objectively analyze desired processes and outcomes and advise on the right combination of IT systems and components to achieve specific business, department, team, or functional goals. They will analyze business strategy and discuss all key areas and initiatives with business strategists and high-level managers. They will translate those requirements into a demand for new or enhanced IT capabilities in NJS. They are responsible for all documents for each major initiative, which will be used as an important reference document to ensure consistency and clarity across all NJS enhancements and development. Skills Required/Desired Experience Required (years) Proven experience as a Software Architect with a strong background in designing and modernizing complex software systems. Required 5 Expertise in modern Java frameworks. Required 5 Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze legacy code and propose effective solutions for modernization. Required 5 Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment. Required 5 Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks. Desired 1 Passion for modernizing legacy systems. Desired 1 Proficiency in designing software architectures. Ability to create high-level system diagrams, component interactions, and data flows. Knowledge of architectural patterns and best practices. Required 5 Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Desired 3 Proficiency in version control, such as Git or SVN.
