These publications may include policies, standards, processes, procedures, guidelines, and other security documents as needed. The client Publication Process serves as the foundation for completing duties essential to this contract. This candidate will assist with implementing all four (4) phases of a documents lifecycle: 1.) [Create or Support] Initial Draft 2.) [Coordinate] Reviews and Approvals 3.) Publish and Archive 4.) Maintain and Dispose. Key Activities/Responsibilities: Implementing the client Publication Process--writing, editing, reviewing, publishing, and maintaining Information Security policies, standards, processes, procedures, guidelines, and other publications Editing publications, ensuring all are aligned with current client style guides. Coordinating documentation review periods with stakeholders and adjudicating stakeholder questions, comments, and recommendations with Information Security Office leadership. Maintains redlines, evidence, and other files of work and revisions. Assisting with tracking the status of publications throughout their lifecycle. Supporting Information Security training efforts to educate stakeholders on new policies or updates. Performing related work as assigned. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated expert technical writing skills, knowledge of writing and editing processes, and publishing and printing terminology and processes; including the ability to apply key principles of the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition; track record of logical and critical thinking, superior organizational skills, and excellent planning and time management skills. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the ability to apply NIST information security requirements and standards (as found in NIST SP 800-53) as the resource for creating and updating publications. Minimum of 8 years of experience with applying common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework and NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with critical timelines. Experience bridging the technology gap for owners and custodians. Excellent written and oral communication.
