Test Engineer Remote / Hybrid / Onsite Position: Remote Specific Location of the resource: MUST BE IN EST locations Any Visa Restrictions (Obs: US Citizens and Greencard holders can be immediately available; Visa holders may require about 5 weeks before start) Must be Greencard, US Citizens Client: JPMC MUST HAVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance, to understand project requirements, design test strategies, and contribute to the development process. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Java and JavaScript to validate the functionality of backend services and APIs developed in Spring Boot. Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for event-driven applications (Kafka), ensuring thorough coverage of different use cases and edge cases. Identify, prioritize, and report defects, issues, and risks, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and closure of reported problems. Continuously improve and optimize testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Test Engineering function. Collaborate with the development team to set up continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, integrating automated tests into the build process. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to provide insights and contribute to the team's success. Development and maintenance of automated regression and component testing suites, utilizing industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing processes. Work closely with Product Managers to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and overall product goals, ensuring alignment between development, testing, and user expectations. Analyze test results, provide meaningful insights, and suggest areas for improvement in software quality, performance, and reliability. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Requirements Banking or Financial Services Experience Mandatory 8-10 years experience Able to work independently Outstanding Communication Skills Able to describe experiences, project and achievements clearly Able to write code in a programming language. (Preferable Java) Knowledge about development frameworks such as Spring boot Excellent understanding of microservices architecture At least 2+ years of experience writing automation scripts in one or more programming languages Strong experience on API testing automation Experience in Requirement analysis, Test cases design Test Execution Ability to dig deeper into test failures and work with developers to identify a root cause Experience with agile methodologies Excellent Team player with strong collaboration skills Regards.
