Role: AWS DevOps Engineer Location: Irvine, CA : Onsite : (Local to CA Only) Position Type: Contract Exp: 10+ Years Job Description: As a senior dev of the DevOps team, youll be working closely with the development, QA, and operations team members. You will be responsible for architecting cloud-based solutions and will need to be proficient in infrastructure and platform design and management as well as application deployment automation. You will be responsible for designing, building, reviewing, testing, debugging and troubleshooting clean pythonic code in a talented and highly collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage an AWS system Making sure AWS production systems are reliable, secure, and scalable Resolving problems across multiple application domains and platforms using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques Automating different operational processes by designing, maintaining, and managing tools Provide primary operational support and engineering for all Cloud and Enterprise deployments Lead the organizations platform security efforts by collaborating with the core engineering team Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for IAC and CI/CD that teams can follow Design and deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault tolerant systems on AWS for the development Focus on building Dockerized application components by integrating with AWS ECS. Modify existing software in AWS to improve performance. Passion for solving challenging issues. Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve common goals. Examine data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems. Demonstrated competency with the following AWS services: ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, Lambda. Proficient in Python programming language and tech stacks. Full software development lifecycle experience. Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and networking concepts. Experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS. Experience with one or more AWS SDKs and/or CLI. Expertise in leveraging Automation / DevOps principles, experience with operational tools, and able to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment (Ansible / Puppet / Chef / Saltstack). Preferred Requirements: Experience with test driven development, SOA. Experience architecting and operating systems built with Amazon Web Services Experience with Docker containers. Comfortable using strace/tcpdump in troubleshooting. Knowledge of Python 3.5 and Lambda. AWS Certifications.
