Job Description - Role Title : Open VMS Administrator Location: - Hybrid (Hartford, CT) Duration: 6+ months Work Authorization : All Visas Interview : Video Job Description: Best practices administration of a multi-node OpenVMS cluster, version 8.4 or later, running on Alpha or Integrity hardware. Experience with OpenVMS geoclusters is highly desirable. Network administration using TCP/IP, DECnet, LPR/LPD, Samba and SSL protocols. Experience with DNS and DHCP configuration is also required. Administration of Fiber Channel SANs including disk allocation, partitioning, and RAID configuration. Backup administration using automated, robotic, or virtual tape libraries with STORServer, ABC Client, or other commercial backup software. Digital Command Language (DCL) scripting and maintenance of system logical and command procedures. ACMS administration. Experience configuring and administering queues, distributed lock management, RMS, DECforms, Attunity, Cobol, RDB, DATATRIEVE, and Forms, in a clustered OpenVMS environment, with messaging and SQL data interfaces to Windows web-based applications. Experience with ConsoleWorks is desirable. Solid troubleshooting skills. Solid verbal and written communication skills. 24x7 support is required. TIMETABLE: A selected candidate may be able to join the ITD team as soon as the onboarding process is completed. A duty station will be assigned at ITD in East Hartford, with opportunities for remote work and a flexible work schedule between 32 and 40 hours per week. Thanks and Regards.
