Location: Remote but must be within one of the following states: Maine, NH, MA, PA, NC, MD, IL

Duration: 6+ months - CTH

Client: Ahold Delhaize/Peapod Digital Labs

JOB DESCRIPTION  

This role has responsibilities to support the company processes through defining delivery methodologies and frameworks as well as ownership of Atlassian administration. This role will lead a team of practitioners and prove leadership on the implementation of training, process, technology, tooling, and governance. Responsibilities will also include the administration, enhancement, maintenance, and integration of Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket. This role is accountable for high availability, performance, and enhanced capabilities of the Atlassian product suite. This position will be responsible for owning, managing, defining, and optimizing standard Atlassian tools and processes to drive Atlassian best practices and increased collaboration across scrum teams as well as other identified ways of working tooling.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Lead change management activities in support of continued adoption.
Define, establish, and implement delivery frameworks and methodologies utilized across Technology.
Define & establish the Technology organizations tools that enable and support the delivery methodology frameworks.
Establish & drive cross company partnerships to enable adoption and support growing the organizations maturity.
Define and establish processes and guidelines for delivery tools for Agile ways of working.
Educate and support the Technology organization on the use of the tools and guidelines, in alignment with the delivery frameworks and methodologies.
Function as a subject matter expert (SME) through repeated successful collaboration with global teams in support of Jira and Confluence.
Drive consistent use of tools in alignment with guidelines across the organization.
Champion modern ways of working such as Agile, DevOps and related practices.
Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence and Bitbucket.
Manage all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes. 
Work closely with the scrum masters and program managers to assist with process standardization.
Work with scrum masters to identify and implement automation opportunities.
 Monitor Atlassian health status and keep everyone informed of any outages or performance issues Clean up stale/unused workflows, issue types, projects, dashboards, etc. 
Create training materials and conduct user-training and help-sessions for new and existing custom features and implementations. 
Find ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests. 
Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community. 
Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes. 
Refine current Jira processes to be more streamlined and uniform for agile teams.
Troubleshoot issues, communicate with scrum masters, and continue to improve support processes. 
Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes. 
Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA.
Create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports. 
Create and maintain technical and/or user facing documentation for training.  
Stay current on industry trends and best practices that evolve the frameworks and methods to continuously improve the organizations ability to deliver value.  

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or combination of relevant education and experience in technical roles.
Atlassian Jira and Confluence administration certifications
Minimum 5+ years of technical experience inclusive of hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as a Project/Application Administrator
2+ years of equivalent experience in an advanced role or technical capacity leading teams directly or indirectly.  This role currently manages contract resources.
Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels.
Proven capability to develop and lead team members.
Will need to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in JQL and developing custom scripts. 
Strong Change Management capabilities to challenge the status quo and drive transformational change to improve business performance and productivity.
Highly collaborative with proven experience partnering, influencing, negotiating across all levels of the organization.
Ability to develop communication, training, and coaching strategies to enable to organization to adopt the delivery methodologies and practices.

SAFe/Agile exposure
Knowledge of IT services and best practices for agile development & tool management
Proficient in Jira / Confluence administration
Manage all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, custom fields, reports, workflows etc.
Help in deployments / upgrades / plugin installations. 
Perform regular maintenance tasks like indexing etc.
Troubleshoot performance issues.
