Role: Network Engineer Work location: NYC , NY Tasks & Duties Configuration of Sessions Border Controller for VOICE infrastructure. Working on replacing our old SBC infrastructure with new SBC infrastructure for both 15 MTC and Union hall sites. Configuring SBCs to deliver network security, routing, and policy management for the VoIP services. Working with Verizon vendor on Phones field trial after deployment and configurations of SIP trunk on SBCs. Troubleshoot any issues faced during and post implementation to keep the services up and running. Implement, Maintain, and support for the Agency wide Internet proxy services. Implement various proxy rules configuration by applying appropriate authentication mode, SSL Interception, and web access allowance. Implementation of Transparent proxy agency wide to alleviate proxy resources and better performance for users accessing the internet. Management of PC Bank proxy configuration, blocking malicious and unwanted URLs which client might access to and only limiting access to CITY wide and Federal appropriate websites to allow them an access to so they can apply for benefits. Proper configurations of all the access, data, system logs to send it to specific log ingesting tools, and cyber command for them to review for any data security searching. Troubleshooting with users on their internet access issues. Upgrading firmware to latest and stable version release to avoid any security vulnerabilities. Load Balancer Management, Configuration and Troubleshooting Implement and maintain Kemp Load Balancer infrastructure. Configure Virtual services for data center hosted applications, by configuring real servers under one Virtual IP. Configure necessary load balancer configuration to distribute all the load and request to specific applications to proper servers. Troubleshooting with application owners any specific issues that they face during pre and post implementation to keep the application up and running and accessible. Upgrading firmware to latest and stable version release to avoid any security vulnerabilities. Network service infrastructure Management Redhat Linux operating system maintenance to support network service. NTP, DNS and DHCP server maintenance and troubleshooting. Log sever maintenance and troubleshooting. Patching and upgrading on Networks Linux environment. Required Skills Minimum 4 Years Solid knowledge of Bluecoat Proxy server and Internet service Minimum 4 Years Solid experience of Kemp Load Balance servers and knowledge of application load balancing. Minimum 4 Years Strong understanding of Redhat Linux Operating system, configuration and troubleshooting. Minimum 2 Years Solid knowledge of Ribbon Secure Border Controllers Minimum 4 Years Strong experience as a Network Engineer configuring and managing LAN/WAN infrastructure Desired Skills 4 Years Working knowledge to install, configure & troubleshoot: Cisco, Palo alto and Juniper switches, firewall/VPN, Remote access gateway, Aruba wireless controllers, Aruba wireless access point. 4 Years Analytics and Troubleshooting.
