Processing description: http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=604012&uid= From: Ganesh, fluxtek Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Senior system Admin Location: Albany, NY(onsite) Duration: Long term Contract C2C Job Description We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to Design, develop, modify, Manage, adapt and implement short and long term solutions to semiconductor Lab information technology (IT) needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture and applications infrastructure for our IT infrastructure using but not limited to Embedded HW Setup, windows servers/client OS, clustering, DHCP, PXE, Python,VBscripts,ASP.Net, Batch Scripts, , Perl, IPMI SoL, x86 Hardware, virtualized environments, Ensuring security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components is essential. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring, and installing updates, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing monitoring and management of mission critical services. Must be able to take ownership and independently manage the small to medium windows environment as well as analyze functional requirements and recommends technical solutions to stakeholders. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Install hardware and peripheral components like disk drives, printers, keyboards, and monitors. Install, configure, and maintain monitoring software (Zabbix) Setup and maintain Automated Tool Data transfer scripts. Maintain tool IT asset inventory for LAB tools equipment. Install and support IOT monitoring devices. Interface with various Business Units and support groups on standards, BKMs and resolution of problematic issues Maintain security compliance and clients standards. Drive support escalations Provide 24/7 on call support as required to support critical system downs. Provide periodical update on status to manager and users through voice mail, email and in-person communication. Troubleshoot OS/networking related issues. Load software packages such as networking components, operating systems and office applications. Customize and adapt current programs to satisfy client users needs. Coordinate with network services and information systems groups. Connect users to networks and train on facilities and applications. Install, repair and conduct preventive maintenance of computers by providing technical support. Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and determine network problems. Diagnose and resolve incidents using documented procedures to perform responsibilities. Provide Workaround if incident cannot be resolved. Configure PCs, laptops and servers, problem ticket resolutions and track problems using Service Now system. Integrate and test activities by migrating applications from development to operational environment. Troubleshoot through phone hardware and software and engage technical resources to resolve. Determine and research user questions and isolate and resolve information systems problems. Receive and prioritize issues and forwards using escalation procedures. Required skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (3 5 Years) Windows Desktop and Servers experience Networking protocols, including HTTPS, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, SSH, SMTP Proficiency in scripting and automation bash, perl, python, etc Experience in clustering solutions Experience with physical and virtual server environments, such as x86 and VMware Experience with PXE and Diskless clients Experience with storage solutions including, RAID, and SAN technology. Networking experience with Cisco or comparable devices, Enterprise Load Balancers, IPTABLES, Next Generation Enterprise Firewalls Plus - Added Advantage Semiconductor tools IT infrastructure experience (3- 5 years) Linux, Cent OS, Ubuntu, Unix Servers exprience Proficiency in scripting and automation VBScripts, Batch scripts, Power, Python Exposure to IT and industrial control systems including PLC & HMI/SCADA.
