Works closely with cross functional business and technical teams. The individual has a balanced mix of technical and very strong business skills, working with an enterprise architect for strategic direction. The individual leads the overall technical vision for a particular platform (across all modules) or solution(s) to provide a business product or a business/IT service. The individual can make technical decisions regarding a solution, and how the technology design impacts business outcomes. The development or infrastructure teams use the information to implement the solution to meet business outcomes. The individual has very strong Director level leadership and behavior competencies. Responsibilities: Setup additional SharePoint sites and Creation/editing of list and library-driven SharePoint web-part pages, pages containing static HTML content Manage application deployment, training, and support projects for the technology department so that they are implemented in line with the needs of the business and its current goals prioritized to deliver the greatest value to the business Provide input to the strategic planning process and plan the tactics for the implementation to meet established business goals Establish vision and goals for managed software that ties with the overall Company direction Migrate current SharePoint instances and shared-drive environment into a single consolidated SharePoint instance where feasible Assist in the creation of prototypes, POCs, presentations, collateral Act as the lead Architect in working with Client staff and its contractors to carry out the Solution Architecture, and Platform (on-premises, cloud, and/or hybrid) optimization function and drive SharePoint user adoption Work with Client Program areas and solution team to drive the SharePoint-based solution implementation Work with Client SMEs and other stakeholders to validate the high-level intersystem view and to define, document, and validate high-level business requirements and associated business processes Participate in joint application development sessions with Client SMEs to develop and document detailed functional business requirements Deliver appropriate solutions for respective platforms Implement platform solutions Define and enforce application development standards across the enterprise Ensure solutions designed adhere to enterprise architecture standards Stay up to date on new technologies and platform capabilities Serve as an expert in application development, database design, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and application development policies, industry regulations, and best practices Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements Communicate risks and solutions to cross functional key stakeholders Work with the PM and staff assigned to provide governance and oversight of the Client applications of SharePoint to understand how the solution should be incorporated into the Client SharePoint site and establish the deployment processes following the industry best practices Support Contractor and Client staff in converting business requirements into functional specifications for setup in SharePoint Review the SharePoint solutions design, configuration, and build created by Client staff and its contractors to ensure conformance to the established development standards Train and/or mentor Client staff in developing and designing SharePoint solutions Assist the PM and Client staff with business analyst support functions and documentation Verify that requirements tracing is in place and being followed, and participate with Client staff in testing/verification that the final implementation meets business requirements Responsible for: how technology can be used to solve a given business problem which framework, platform, or tech-stack can be used to create a solution how the application will look, what the modules will be, and how they interact with each other how things will scale for the future and how they will be maintained figuring out the risk in third-party frameworks/platforms finding a solution to a business problem of the sustainability of a solution Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience 8 or more years of work experience in IT with experience in solutioning technology solutions to meet business needs Expert knowledge of solution/application development issues, techniques, and implications across one or multiple platforms Broad experience with and exposure to a single platform environment to enable the proper perspective and ability to design an application or infrastructure solution Excellent verbal/written communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to analyze and solve problems Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and
