Please share suitable profile Job: Senior Data Center Engineer Duration: 6+Months Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid) Note This is an immediate need and will turn fast This role is at NYCHA in Nww York, NY. The person can be hybrid but would prefer onsite! Responsibilities: Top priority is cloud hardware migration moving off of Legacy 6500's to new hardware Person must have strong data center configuration experience Opportunity to solve layer 2 issues. Spanning-tree VLAN mismatches in both DC's, need fiber cables run etc. Ability to stabilize the environment. 7+ years experience supporting and architecting Cisco technology solutions involving a government agencys aging IT infrastructure. Ability to integrate new architectural enhancements to existing infrastructures, design and propose new technology solutions, tools and techniques to meet clients existing and future needs. Deployment support for End of Life and technology refresh involving Routing / Switching Responsible for the coordination, delivery, and quality of execution of technology solutions at every level within the client base. Ensures that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the client. Demonstrated experience navigating the client landscape in the SLED space and within large government agencies. Develops and maintain relationships with key account team in NYC area. Requirements: Technical Skills / Experience Solid Security Experience Routing & Switching EIGRP Experience Firewall(CheckPoint, ASA, NetScaler ) DMZ Services (NetScaler, Load Balancing, Certificate Services) Familiarity with the NYC environment and technology footprint Ability to work onsite multiple days per week (lower Manhattan) 3 6 Months Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with senior level agency personnel Ability to apply systems thinking and strategy Experience in monitoring the work of supporting engineers to bring together a complete technical solution Self-driven, business minded, goal orientated, willing to travel as required.
