Job Description:

As a Guidewire Business Analyst with P&C insurance experience, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementations within the P&C insurance domain, using Guidewire software solutions.

Your role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and configure Guidewire applications to meet the unique needs of the P&C insurance business.

You will play a key role in optimizing and streamlining insurance operations by leveraging Guidewire's capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with P&C insurance stakeholders, including underwriters, claims professionals, and policy administrators, to comprehensively understand business requirements and pain points.

Process Analysis: Evaluate existing P&C insurance workflows, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and automation through the implementation of Guidewire software.

Business-Technology Translation: Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications that guide the configuration and customization of Guidewire applications.

Guidewire Configuration: Configure Guidewire software applications, including policy administration, claims management, and billing systems, to align with P&C insurance business requirements and industry best practices.

Data Modeling: Collaborate with data teams to design data models that support P&C insurance-specific needs, ensuring accurate capture and management of policy, claim, and financial data.

Rules and Workflow Design: Define rules engines, workflow processes, and business rules within Guidewire applications to automate and optimize P&C insurance processes.

Integration: Coordinate integration efforts between Guidewire applications and other systems used in the P&C insurance ecosystem, such as third-party data sources, financial systems, and external portals.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the reliability and accuracy of configured Guidewire solutions.

End-User Training: Provide training and support to P&C insurance personnel, ensuring they can effectively utilize Guidewire applications to enhance their daily tasks.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and management, conveying project progress, challenges, and updates in a clear and concise manner.

Problem Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to Guidewire applications, collaborating with technical teams to implement effective solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends in the P&C insurance industry, Guidewire software advancements, and regulatory changes, proposing enhancements to existing processes and systems.

Project Management: Participate in project planning, monitor project timelines, and contribute to the successful implementation of Guidewire solutions within specified timeframes and budgets.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IT, Insurance).

Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance concepts, processes, and industry standards.

Prior experience with Guidewire software applications, including Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.

Proficiency in gathering requirements, documenting specifications, and configuring software systems.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve complex business challenges.

Project management skills to facilitate project coordination and ensure successful outcomes.
