Title- TPx Product Owner Duration- 6 months+ Location- Remote Visa- USC/GC client is TPx Communications Candidates must have experience as a product owner or manager working with network solutions and products. Job Title: TPx Product Owner IT Network Brief Job Description: General Purpose: The Product Owner, is in charge of making sure that each product developed by TPx meets all client needs and wants. They work directly with the Product Manager to understand the driving market factors and overall product vision and direction as they determine the service definition and features required to meet that vision. They have an in-depth understanding of what customers want from their products. They work directly with the Principal Product Engineers to determine the feasibility of vendors and solutions to meet those feature and service requirements. The Product Owner coordinates with the Product Operations team to ensure the stories and requirements are all executed within the PLM process and to the identified product timeline for releases. Reports To (Supervisor/Manager): Vice President of Product Operations and Engineering Direct Reports: None Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Creating service definition for services/products and feature components Incorporating feature requests into product roadmap Grooming and prioritizing backlog Developing user stories and defining acceptance criteria Validating service outcomes and acceptance criteria with Product Managers Peripheral Duties: Set sprint goals Write acceptance tests Plan releases and upgrades Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints Analyze preferences and requests of Product Managers and coordinate with Product Engineering and TPx Operations to assist in increasing operational efficiencies and savings while meeting PMs objectives and priorities Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback Keep track of product trends within TPx Operations and Support to assist in providing data to PM team and Product Operations team for improvements to services as well as processes Desired Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree or greater in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA degree preferred Familiarity with Agile is a plus. Technical background related to Product Ownership role Excellent team building and communication skills Any equivalent combination of education and experience Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Highly motivated self-starter with a native sense of urgency and strong drive, experienced in cross functional team collaboration Strong experience in product life cycle Solid understanding of end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations Experience successfully launching new products Willingness and ability to work with teams, including ability to build relationships using an open and respectful communication and collaboration style Respect for the expertise and experience of others but willing to ask why Outstanding communication skills verbal, written, presentation skills Ability to shift from high-level thinking to realistic and pragmatic execution Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive mindset Adept at evidence-based and data-oriented decision making. Projected 25% travel. Job Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner Recent experience taking the product scope and purpose to define user stories that a company wants to put in front of customers Experience owning feature progression (decides out of all of the features, which one will go first) Experience owning how a technology team roles a product out to make the best impact to the customer Experience being the bridge with the rest of the company including product engineers and trainers (how you want a customer to interact with support, how much will be self-service and how much is managed service) ***Prior experience as a Product Owner specifically within IT Network Eng/Admin (ACL, Juniper switch programming, owns the LAN/Wireless products) Regards.
