The Role Architect is responsible for designing and implementing role-based access control (RBAC) solutions within the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform. They play a crucial role in establishing effective and efficient access control strategies across the organization. Responsibilities: Develop RBAC frameworks and methodologies to support the implementation of birthright and enterprise RBAC models. Analyze business requirements and translate them into RBAC design specifications. Collaborate with business stakeholders, application owners, and IT teams to identify and define roles, entitlements, and permissions. Design and configure SailPoint IdentityIQ workflows, rules, and policies to enforce RBAC principles. Define and implement RBAC governance processes, including role mining, role certification, and role lifecycle management. Conduct role engineering activities, such as role mapping, role hierarchy design, and role permission assignments. Ensure RBAC implementations align with industry best practices and comply with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with RBAC Engineer and other IAM teams to integrate RBAC solutions with existing identity and access management processes and technologies. Provide guidance and support to the RBAC Engineer and other team members on RBAC-related matters. Stay updated on emerging RBAC trends, technologies, and industry standards to drive continuous improvement in RBAC capabilities. Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Extensive experience in designing and implementing RBAC solutions within SailPoint IdentityIQ or similar IAM platforms. Strong understanding of RBAC concepts, including roles, entitlements, permissions, and access control models. Proficiency in role engineering methodologies, such as role mining, role modeling, and role hierarchy design. In-depth knowledge of RBAC governance processes, including role certification, access recertification, and role lifecycle management. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to access control, such as SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business requirements and translate them into RBAC design specifications. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS), or SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Architect, are a plus.
