Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills. Finance (and Accounts Receivable) background is a big plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. POSITION OBJECTIVE The Applications Support/Developer works in accordance with the companys software development lifecycle to develop both new and enhancements to software applications that meet business specifications. Primary responsibilities include production support and troubleshooting of WARRIOR (Accounts Receivable). Additionally, once experienced enough with the application, potentially perform development changes, unit/functional testing. This role ensures best practices are followed and corporate ITPM standards are met. REPORTS TO IT Application Development Manager, Non-Manufacturing Applications. III. DIRECT AND INDIRECT REPORTS None MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAIN DUTY: Provide production support and troubleshooting. Resolving interface issues. Handling Ivanti tickets. (User Support) Troubleshooting, may include SQL queries, reviewing code to debug. Balancing issues. Document troubleshooting guide/resolutions as needed. May require reviewing code in various languages to troubleshoot issues. MINOR DUTY: Development (Changes/New Reports and logic) Minor development changes in accordance with established company standards and guidelines per specifications. Perform unit testing of assigned development work. At minimum, unit testing should ensure all basic functionality works, and data validation errors are handled accordingly. Maintain strict adherence to standards in both code and process during development portion of the software lifecycle. Perform systems analysis and functional testing as needed. EDUCATION/TRAINING BA/BS in business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience. VII. SUPPORT HOURS Core Hours Warrior Support: 8AM-5PM (EDT) (Southfield timezone) Most issues can wait for 8AM the next day if they occur outside of core hours. Month End Closing is on Mondays, usually around 1-2PM but support is more critical during this timeframe (Mon-Wed of closing) for any interface/balancing issue. VIII ENVIRONMENT WARRIOR ORACLE DB 11G Application heavily utilizes: Packages Procedures Triggers LINUX Batch Jobs written in Pro*C (Vanilla C wrapped around SQL statements, cursors) Linux Scripts (Most faily simply) Editor is vi. Interfaces on Linux box. REPORTING Java/Tomcat running on Linux. Utilized Oracle Procedures and Packages behind the scenes. User Client/Server Modules Original Modules written in Gupta/Centura/SQL Windows, a dead language.
