We have an immediate opening for the below position with one of our premium clients Job Title Network and Cloud Engineer Work Location: San Jose, California, United States Contract duration :Long Term Minimum years of experience: 8+ years Job Purpose The Network and Cloud Engineer at Cisco Systems will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Cisco network infrastructure. Additionally, they will be tasked with designing, implementing, and operating Kubernetes and other cloud systems. Job Duties Plan, design, implement, and support network infrastructure based on the latest Cisco technologies. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Design, deploy, and administer Kubernetes clusters and cloud systems. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features. Identify and solve problems in the network and cloud system operation. Required Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience Proven hands-on network engineering experience. Hands-on experience with networking equipment primarily Cisco, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing Kubernetes systems. Knowledge and Skills Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Solid understanding of the interfaces between cloud services, Kubernetes, and underlying infrastructure. Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure. Proficient in network security principles and their application. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CKA, or CKAD are highly valued. Familiarity with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) is a plus.
