We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the Digital Technologies (DT) Infrastructure Operations staff on the Network Engineering/Operations team. This role will be responsible for a wide range of network responsibilities, with particular emphasis on route switching and on the overall health and performance of a system. The professional is expected to work with end user services and cross-functional teams to provide the requested network services, troubleshoot and resolve issues. The network professional is expected to operate and perform at the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity and work among a team of skilled analysts to address simple to moderately complex problems across the various network functions. The focus of this role is working within the Collins Aerospace DT Infrastructure Operations department reporting to the Sr. Manager, Network Operations. Minimum Qualifications: 2-3 years of computer and network routing and switching experience preferred Thorough understanding of fundamental and network concepts (operating systems, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, ports, etc.) Demonstrated analytical expertise includes the ability to think critically and logically in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Education: HS Diploma or GED accepted with 2-3 years exp Experience: Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, Aruba, CWNA, JNIC, etc.) CCNA is most important. Travel: 40-50% of time (or 2 weeks out of the month). Nationwide air travel. Travel plans will be planned ahead of time. Expenses reports expected. Some weekends. OT: As needed or planned in advance. Desired soft skills: Task Oriented. Self-motivated. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Willingness to learn. Desired Qualifications: Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, Aruba, CWNA, JNIC, etc.) Experience with Microsoft and Unix-based operating systems Experience with Enterprise Firewall rules and rule creation. Solid understanding of ITIL foundation service lifecycle Experience in general network to effectively collaborate with team members and leadership.
