COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION IS BELOW FOR YOUR REVIEW: Job Title: Network Architecting Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) Contract: 12+ Months Problem Statement for the Architect:- Imagine you are in a NOC, monitoring your Data center or all your assets/applications deployed at the edge. How do you get a 360 degree view of your deployment/status/alerts/etc Skills required: 1) Python or similar - with experience in building Intent based modelling and decomposing the model into provisioning tasks. (Not tool based but using a programming language). This is definition of how each assets should be installed, configured, monitored and managed. Industry references are Terraform, TOSCA, HEAT Template, Cloudify, etc. In our case we will define the model. 2) Grafana with Mimir & Loki (To store metrics and logs). 3) Prometheus and ability to write custom exporters. (This is how we get metrics/logs from source/assets). 4) API Lifecycle Management with Microservices and Kubernetes is mandatory. 5) Exposure to TimeSeries DB and Graph DB. Job Description Monitoring: Experience with exporters, Zabbix collectors or similar adapters/tools for collecting and analysing data from IT systems (compute, network, storage, container services, application services) for monitoring, logging, and discovery. Hands-on ability to write custom collectors/adapters with Python, Java, or other lightweight programming languages. Configure alerts, deduplication, correlation & aggregation rules. Integration with ITSM tools for Incident Management Implementation experience in generating CI Topology map & updating CMDB leveraging discovery process. Some key skills required for monitoring include knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus, an understanding of network protocols and monitoring protocols such as SNMP, TCP, UDP, and API with SQL and NoSQL database knowledge. Observability Additional points Monitoring Tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, NewRelic, Nagios, Splunk) Technical Operation, NOC (Network Operation Center) team Operating System: Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, AmazonLinux), Microsoft: Must have good hold Linux command Programming: heavily on Shell Script, PowerShell and Python Familiarity with Network, Server, Database, Application, storage monitoring Log Management: managing the logs and log migration to central location. Observability: Experience with distributed systems, knowledge of telemetry (a.k.a Open Telemetry) and logging technologies such as Fluentd and Logstash, and familiarity with distributed tracing tools such as Open Tracing and Jaeger. Additionally Knowledge of Industry frameworks Redfish, IPMI, SMI-S, NETCONF, RESTCONF will be beneficial., Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP. Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible and strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
