Participate on related application development projects, lead technical projects and initiatives, serve as technical subject matter experts, and ensure that customer needs are met through reliable systems. Provide analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and ongoing production operational support for the IT mainframe business applications systems. The work to be performed is identified and prioritized in conjunction with the Departments business divisions, and is implemented using structured project and SDLC methodologies. Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to develop and configure software applications and tools to solve complex problems Demonstrated experience in Mainframe Development Demonstrated experience with COBOL, CICS, Easy Trieve, JCL, TSO/ISPF, DB2, SQL, and Z/OS and MVS Demonstrated experience in Project Management Ability to make determinations based on facts, identify problems, report potential problems, and assess options proactively Ability to understand customer needs, including the level of urgency, and translate them into appropriate automated solutions Ability to ensure implementation of policies and procedures Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, and the tools and techniques used in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle Knowledge of best practices for secure applications development Ability to communicate technical terms and concepts to non-technical staff and clients Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and in a timely manner Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive, and productive working relationships with peers, superiors, subordinates, and customers Five years of progressive experience in computer programming and applications analysis Knowledge of Agile Project Management Experience with COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, JCL, TSO/ISPF, DB2, SQL, Z/OS and MVS Experience with INSTALL/1 ITIL Certification or knowledge of the ITIL Framework Required Skills: 7 Years - Experience developing/maintaining mainframe based management systems using COBOL, 7 Years - Easytrieve, JCL, CICS, SQL and DB2 7 Years - Experience working in an environment with TSO/ISPF, Z/OS, MVS and IMS 7 Years - Experience in technical and functional requirements documentation 7 Years - Experience with troubleshooting and debugging mainframe applications 7 Years - Knowledge of techniques and methodologies relating to software quality assurance and testing through the full systems development lifecycle 7 Years - Ability to manage time, milestones and be self-directed Keywords: zos information technology North Carolina |
