J&J is shipping things globally across the ocean and the R&D team is doing testing and vetting. Traditionally R&D materials are managed by scientists who create scientific formulas. This product squad will support products declared while shipping from a trade controls perspective and partner with brokers and freight teams for trade customs. This will be a Technical Product Owner supporting Supply Chain Technology's business customer Janssen/MT R&D. A background in Trade Controls is required. This project is related to a large Trade Sanctions project for Trade Automation. This will work with other teams such as global services, legal, global trade controls, and Research & Development. Job Description/Overview: As a Technical Product Owner (TPO) you will drive forward technology product ownership and capability pull-through for our Trade Controls platform aligned with the business objectives. You will advance the trade sanctions product and supply chain capability roadmap development of multiple new technologies. We are a customer and product-centric team, where everything we do starts and ends with the customer and user research. Strategy Inquire into E2E business process, user personas (Trade Controls, Global Services, HCC, Legal), solution design, and partner with cross-functional teams Define the user personas and business product-driven strategy Maximize return on investment (ROI) by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value (building the right thing) Define the product vision and roadmap including new features and enhancements Partner with the Product Analyst as they conduct user research, persona mapping, process mapping, create wireframes and mockups based on user experience and business requirements In the absence of a Product Analyst, the TPO may also be responsible for developing and managing business requirements, writing user stories, and communicating the vision to developers and testers Product development oversight Communicate the vision of the product to developers and testers and support the Agile Product squad Negotiate with the business to see what features are built and which are backlogged based on capacity Accountable for the development work getting done correctly Supervise the progress of product development in the context of the larger program Incorporate user feedback and insights into the next build iteration Partner with business owners to ensure the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met Report back to the business on the delivery status of features, functionality, and applications Review and approve changes to applications Has a combination of global and regional accountability depending on product line scope Conduct initial product user research Drive the product squad vision based on business and user insights Design desirable and intuitive products by creating wireframes and visual designs, and iteratively validate solutions with users Define the market and business product-driven strategy Product ownership oversight Drive adoption of the product and use thereof across sectors with BPO, PA, and Platform Tech Lead Own the total cost of product development, ownership, and user-unit cost Own the spend on vendors and services provided by other groups within the company Closely works with Product Line leads to report the performance of applications Own the product use throughout all the stages of the product lifecycle Define product catalog linked to user needs and business value Required: Experience in global trade controls is required and experience with Research & Development (R&D) groups is a plus Validated enterprise agile Product Ownership experience and problem-solving abilities, comfortable managing large sophisticated data sets and ability to perform analysis, translating insights into impactful recommendations Strong IT background with a consistent record of delivering results, validated leadership, influencing skills, interdependent partnering skills, communication as well as critical thinking skills, creative and flexible problem solver, and process focus Agile development experience, SDLC methodology, risk management including information security Ability to assist with estimate effort for project objectives and prioritize work items appropriately Experience in effectively collaborating multi-functionally while handling partner expectations without formal authority Knowledge of JIRA Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure, critical situations and attention to detail required Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact skillfully and confidently with internal partners to develop ideas, find opportunities, and influence outcomes Ability to align complex architecture to business strategies and initiatives Consistent track record of delivering projects with bold timelines and sprints; can drive solutions quickly and efficiently with high value Solid experience crafting technical solutions for business problems; understands both business processes and technical solutions Ability to succeed in a global environment and influence adoption of new thinking Thanks & Regards...
