Role: Enterprise Architect - CCIE Client: State of Michigan Location: Remote(MI) Top Skills & Years of Experience: - Must have Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certification - REQUIRED - 7+ years of experience SOM Design Services CCIE Enterprise Architect Job Description Engagement: The State of Michigan is looking for a candidate with a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) focus on enterprise datacenter networking. This role will wear multiple hats assisting State of Michigan Enterprise Networking Architect and operations team to comprehend objectives, generate solutions, POC the solution, generate recommendations then implement the decisions. This resource will be a principal architect/engineer involved in the design, implementation and management of technology-based business solutions based on datacenter networking to improve the State of Michigan datacenter network. We are looking for a collaborative team player that is comfortable supporting a hybrid workforce at all levels of the organization. Applicants should possess exceptional analytical, communication and critical thinking skills along with an understanding of the Agile framework. This position will assist with the architecture and implementation of the Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) build out of the State of Michigan datacenter network. This position will also be working with other enterprise network architects supporting the overall strategic, technical, architectural, and administrative oversight of the enterprise network and infrastructure environments throughout the State of Michigan. Responsibilities will include all functions required to plan, design, optimize, implement, manage, and trouble-shoot escalated issues within the enterprise network infrastructure. Contractor (staff augmentation) Resource Sourced through MiSAM Program (Knowledge Services) Standard 1 year engagement and 1984 hours. Possible extension beyond the 1-year standard agreement Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday Friday The working model for this position will be remote. Expectation to be online using MS Teams during business hours. Qualifications: Matter level expertise in Data Center networking and operational system fundamentals. Proven knowledge, skills and experience - 5 Years Required Experience in provisioning, managing, and coordinating medium to large scale Data Center networks. - 5 Years Required Experience with R&S and Layer 2/3 Engineering skills / expertise - 5 Years Required Solid Cisco R/S, Nexus & Catalyst skills. - 3 to 5 Years Required Cisco UCS and VMware knowledge and expertise - 3 to 5 Years Required Strong experience with SD-WAN & SDN solutions is highly desired - 7 Years Required In depth understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including networking, security, NAS, Cloud Computing and physical datacenter practices - 7 Years Required Experience in remediating security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests - 5 Years Required Ability to design, implement and maintain solutions with adherence to industry compliance such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO and identify policy violations - 7 Years Required Experience with IP-based and Fiber networking for SAN/NAS technologies is desired - 3 Years Required Communicate effectively with technical and non- technical personnel - 3 Years RequiredCertification(s): Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) - Required Core Competencies Data Center Automation. Remediating security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests. Mentoring junior engineers. Core Tasks Provide strategic and support representing Design Services and the State of Michigan IT Strategy as a Subject Matter Expert as an enterprise network architect. Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders. Assist in developing solutions to existing and upcoming technical problems. Assist with supporting infrastructure solutions to existing or upcoming technical needs or problems. Implementation and support of data center network solutions. Analyze, assist with design, document, and migratations. Develop remediation plans for security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests. Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc. Monitor, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance for the network infrastructure. Develop remediation plans for security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests. Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc. Monitor, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance for the network infrastructure.
