UPDATE:

Oracle Retail Xstore is software that is sold 95% of the time to
retail companies like TJX, Footlocker, American Eagle Outfitters, Prada,
Tractor Supply, Sephora, Sally Beauty Supply, Zegna, Portabella and about 100
others here in the US.  If someone has XStore listed under a bank,
financial services, manufacturing company that doesnt have retail
stores (physical bricks and mortar retail stores), they are probably a
fake.

This software, which is sold by Oracle Corporation to their retail
customers does things like Point of Sale cash register mgt, opening and closing
the actual physical store each day, keeps track of item returns and exchanges..
all retail type activities.

We have an opening for an Oracle techstack application engineer position to
join our Infrastructure & Operations - Application Hosting Services (AHS)
team. As a member of the Oracle application engineering team, you will develop
strong and meaningful relationships throughout the Stores and Selling Product
ART and Client IT Shared Services. This role will support production and go
live activities for Oracle Xstore POS implementations. This person will be
responsible for implementing, adhering to, and advocating for ITIL best
practices regards to stores and selling systems. This person should be
available to work during the off hour shifts to support the stores.

Responsibilities:

- Xstore Oracle Application support engineer role focuses on operations
support, code deployments and rollout issues to ensure consistent delivery of
IT services to our business stakeholders

- This support role is responsible for the Oracle XStore POS support that spans
entire client

- This engineer will manage upgrades, patches, and support issues as they occur

- This engineer will act as a SME supporting L3 and L2 teams

- Willing to support and be on the off hours shifts

- This is a highly visible to the business and hands on role

- Daily tasks include analyzing diagnostics using Splunk monitoring tool,
troubleshooting, addressing Xstore POS software problems during outages and
making sure that all the critical Xstore POS technology components are
recovered in time and provide technical support to businesses teams

- As well as plan for problematic situations and create procedures to restore
systems and their functionality

- This engineer should have sound understanding on Xenvironment and EFTLInk

- Candidate should have good understanding of Xstore architecture including
Lead-Non lead

- Good understanding of Xstore Office suite

- Good understanding about EOD process and as well store opening process for
Xstore POS

- Responsible for coding systems or updating programs by altering code strings
(mainly Java) if necessary

- Should have high level understanding on client platform footprint that
includes Oracle technology products, Exadata, VMware - Linux vm-s, HyperV and
windows 10

- Manage day to day activities such as incidents, problem tickets and change
management

- Escalate the incidents to leads if you see that issue is not getting
attention

- Cross collaborate with different support teams during any critical incidents,
and also owning any of the takeaways

- Partner with our third-party support vendor to ensure system stability

- Manage the upgrade process to newest version of the software

- Provide customer service to internal and external guests to ensure consistent
experience

- Documenting any new issues as the SOP-s for the support teams

- Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are
met

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent work experience

- 8+ year-s of IT experience implementing different Oracle products (required)

- 5+ year-s of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Xstore (required;
key item)

- 5+ of experience on Oracle Weblogic server (required)

- Solid understanding about Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c (required)

- 5+ year-s of experience implementing and supporting Oracle E-commerce &
MOM suite (plus)

- 2+ year-s of experience using enterprise software development (preferably
Java) (plus)

- Java software design and/or development (plus)

- Functional and technical knowledge of Xstore suite version V17 to V21

- Hands-on experience in planning, testing, and executing upgrades and patches

- Good understanding of retail POS processes, including customer facing (sales,
returns, promotions, pricing, loyalty, etc.) and back-office functions (cash
management, open/close, TLOG, data flow)

- Communication skills - Must be able to effectively convey technical
information to diverse audiences

- Strong interpersonal skills - including the use of written, electronic, and
oral communication

- Sound problem-solving, reasoning, analytical, aptitude, attention to detail
skills

- Time-management skills, self-motivated and directed

- Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and
procedure manuals

- Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language/

-Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
