Job Description - Network Engineer: The candidate will work within Network Services organization, focused on Extranet & B2B connectivity and migration project on a global scale. The candidate will be expected to support Network Services portfolio, and work in a cross-organizational setting, prepare design documentation and engaged in migrations. The candidate must demonstrate industry knowledge in Software Defined infrastructure, Data Center, VPN technologies, WAN, LAN, load balancing, firewalls, and Network centric tools. The candidate will be required to develop reference architectures & designs, support existing standards with a comprehensive review process, develop standards-based designs, and support Extranet & B2B areas of network services. In addition, the candidate should have a strong background in: Route/Switching, Data Center, F5 Load Balancing, WAN, VPN (Site-2-site), Private line, and AppViewX is a plus. Position Requirements Extranet migration project (B2B connectivity with 3rd parties) VPN based (cisco) technologies (site-2-site) Design element / prepare diagrams / assist with firewall requests / establish connectivity (IP address) 3rd party extranet / WAN skill sets Firewall change requests Network design principals/engineering Geo-redundant (2 facilities) / global load balancing Certs are preferred (routing and switching) Financial or Life Insurance experience Datacentre to datacentre / modernization effort (old to new) Router with a k9 or VPN bundle / not a firewall Minimum 7 Year of experience working with enterprise & global network solutions knowledge and experience with Extranet & B2B services Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying large enterprise solutions that includes WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Routing, LAN, VLANs, Trunking, Port Channels, Firewalls, etc.. Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying large enterprise solutions that utilize F5 load balancing with AppViewX knowledge is a plus Able to ascertain requirements, research and identify solutions, and make recommendations in support of network designs and deployments. Able to develop and execute project / deployment plans that meet scope, time, cost, and quality requirements Able to quickly assess, mitigate risk, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues by obtaining various network information, and tools to determine root cause Able to develop processes and documentation according to the project and Operation requirements Able to provide technical leadership and strategic direction in alignment with objectives Able to establish and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with 3rd parties Engaged in troubleshoot activities in resolving connectivity and access issues Support BAU network operations and incidents as required Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent collaboration and communication (listening, written and verbal) skills Excellent Diagraming skills with Visio and layered diagrams Ability to multi-task and participate in large, complex, and concurrent project Strong understanding of project management concepts & operating in agile methodology Detail oriented and possess excellent technical and research skills. Responsibilities : Establishes and Maintains Technical Network documentation Interfaces with other technology towers and vendors Acts as escalation point for critical project and Network operational issues Act as Network operational technology SME for providers or 3rd parties Engaged and oversees implementation of networking technologies or MACs. Engaged in the area of optimization and ensure that deployments are delivered per design Reviews and build Cisco based designs DC, WAN, LAN, VPN, B2B, and Firewalls Design, and Review Scopes of Work with both internal and external teams Oversee and be engaged in implementation efforts across the enterprise Network, Data Center, WAN, LAN, VPN, B2B, and design to insure expected outcomes with both internal and external teams. Knowledge of Cisco Systems technology including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and VPN solutions Act as Network Team lead (SME) on Extranet & B2B connectivity and migrations May conduct knowledge transfer to internal and external team members as required Participate in Project, Technology sessions, project schedules, and direction Conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation for Severity 1 & 2 Network Outages Complete engagement in all activities related to Extranet, and B2B migrations Take Guidance and work under Network Architecture teams and Engineers May require afterhours and weekend work for migrations of Extranet and B2B services This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
