LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY*** Provide planning, installation, administration, and maintenance of all aspects of the corporate PC Windows desktop standards. Own the selection of the hardware platforms, and software distribution tools and patching schedules. Package and script automation for the desktop software catalog and software deployments. Create and maintain security controls on the desktop platforms using enterprise management tools. Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry best practices with desktop standards and software package management. In this role, you will: Support the desktop environment including deployment of laptops and desktops when applicable. Have frequent contact with end-users, peers, and managers as desktop support for service requests and on-site problem resolution. Work in a team environment with a collaborative approach to resolving customer problems and supporting other members of the IT Ops department. Responsibilities: Perform application packaging, installation, troubleshooting, incident, and request handling. Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced computer system issues, including operating systems, hardware and software, networking, VPN, connectivity, anti-virus, and other network devices/peripherals, both remotely and on-site. Research complex problems and coordinate with core infrastructure, application teams and vendors for service delivery enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades. Create technical documents of implementations, break-fix solutions, etc. Assist in creating materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs). Modern Endpoint Management with Microsoft 365 Assist in the management of Active directory on premise as well as in the cloud/Azure AD. Manage Azure/Office 365 Users, Groups, computers Packaging and deployment of Software and Apps via Intune. Deployment of Windows 10 devices via Intune (Auto Pilot) and SCCM. Manage mobile devices (IOS, Android) using Intune Extensive experience supporting Windows 10 image creation, provisioning, and deployment experience. Use major scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell and Python to support image deployments and automation efforts. Own and drive implementation of new software, upgrades of existing software and procedural documentation and other projects. Be available and responsive after hours to both end-user issues and emergency alerts for critical servers and applications. Support, administer and maintain Microsoft SCCM environment including developing/deploying OS images, packaging/advertising software & updates. Support business requests for reporting out of SCCM system including software/hardware inventory, package deployment statistics, etc. Assist in troubleshooting any SCCM issues including problems with image deployment, package deployment, & SCCM agent/client issues Adhere to strict Change management policy to ensure timely notification, testing and approval for all system and application related changes. Work alongside other IT teams, project managers, and business teams to ensure a great end-user experience. Adhere to problem management practices that focus on root cause analysis and prevention of future problems. Work closely with Information Security teams to implement security hardening and practices. Strong desire to help, share, and assist others. Qualifications & Characteristics: Minimum 5-8 years of experience (8-10 years preferred) working hands-on in a fast-paced IT environment. Advanced Windows Desktop OS knowledge Advanced Knowledge of SCCM/MECM/Intune Advanced Knowledge of PowerShell scripting Advanced Knowledge of Application Packaging and deployment Extensive, hands-on experience supporting Microsoft cloud-based back-office systems including Microsoft 365.
