Non-local candidates' resumes are lacking the skills requested. Need to present their skills well during the interview. Additional candidates are needed for this role. This week's interviews did not go well. Skill sets are lacking especially when we get into some of the SQL questions that we would consider relatively basic that seem to stump them or they seem not exposed to it. IBMi/iSeries/AS400 RPG Developer Basic Qualifications 4+ years of professional experience with application development - using RPG IV, ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE and CL on IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform 4+ years of extensive SQL knowledge, including writing scripts, functions and stored procedures Microsoft SQL Server development /SSRS Microsoft Visual Studio Microsoft .NET tools Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus on long-term projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the company Proven problem-solving and time management skills Results-oriented; demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to achieve efficient and accurate results. Committed to the highest levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality JD: Acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
