Role:Sr. Network Administrator Location:Brooklyn, NY Duration:30 Months Description The candidate will work with the Deployment team on the Classroom connectivity Universal Refresh Upgrade project which will consist of refreshing essential network equipment in IDF and MDF to 1300+ NYC school buildings, which includes network equipment upgrades (wireless controllers, core switch, firewall and servers), electrical service and fiber/coper cabling. Duties Works on providing engineering support for integrations happening in schools, including the review of proposed work plan submissions throughout network infrastructure deployment process in order to ensure that the work aligns to pre-determined work scopes and is consistent with DIIT network standards. Validates the work completed by integration is completed in a proper manner, the documentation is correct and that the service is complete. Works with the (NOC Inventory Collection Engine) database to submit and compare Wireless Network Design Plans (WNDPs) with integrator (NTT DATA) to confirm completion of work. Utilizes diagnostic methodologies to determine the cause of network malfunctions and provides remote access support to resolve network-related problems that result from deployment activities. Works with integrator (NTT DATA) on integration refresh of school infrastructure project that entails reviewing and approving work plan submissions by the integrator for the installation of hardware, software. Utilizes familiarity with DIIT network standards for hardware and network connectivity. Provides real-time support to integrators when installing equipment in school, and performs troubleshooting services on wireless and network environment, equipment in schools. Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated tools (DIIT Configuration Developer, Enterprise Management System metrics, NICE); validating processes; providing documentation Mandatory Requirements Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer. Experience (8+ Years) Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 Months supporting day to day network operations that include routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and network technology. 36 Months of network configuration for network equipment (routing, switching, firewall, and Wireless Access Management). 24 Months providing detailed network configuration and network status reports. 24 Months Preparing network diagrams, floor plans, and schematics using Visio 36 Months of Level I, II, and III network support with WAM, LAN trouble shooting. 84 Months with configuration experience with Cisco Switches 6xxx, 5xxx, 4xxx, 29xx, 19xx, Cisco Routers 2951,4XXX, Cisco firewalls 5555,5516, Cisco and Aruba wireless controllers ,access points and WAM. 48 Months working with LAN/WAN infrastructure and all LAN and WAN networking technologies Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Bachelors Degree or a Masters degree in computer science/ telecommunications from an accredited college Rsum Please submit copy of certificate/degree Thanks, Hemamalini Logan Team Lead Sligo Software Solutions Inc.
