Below are the details of the position: Role: Python Data Engineer Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 3 days onsite in a Week) Mode of hiring : Contract Experience: 10+ Years Core Skill: Advance level proficiency on Pyspark, Python, SQL. Must have Data Engineering background and good understanding on all Data Engineer concepts. Knowledge on Databricks at his time will be considered as nice to have/secondary skill as they are in process of moving from on-prem to cloud. Detailed Description Demonstrated experience in building data pipelines on data lake or Lakehouse(Databricks) & handling bigdata Demonstrated experience in implementing ETL and ELT pipelines with Spark (PySpark is used) Spark Structured API, SPARK SQL & Spark Performance turning are highly preferred. Familiarity with any data ingestion tools Familiarity with working with different file formats. Delta-Lake is highly preferred. Advanced Proficiency in Python and SQL. Basic familiarity with Unix. Familiarity with one of orchestration tools such as Airflow, DBT and Delta live tables. Familiarity in cloud native tools (AWS is preferred) Familiarity with CI/CD process from developer point of view. Familiarity with Change Data Capture systems is nice to have.
