Role: Sr Java Developer Location: Chantily, VA (Hybrid from Day 1) Duration: 12+ months Job description: Technology set is Java, Webservices and SQL. Required onsite as we need to occasionally to work with instruments in lab. Role/Responsibilities: Responsible for analysis, design, coding, and testing of new applications or enhancements to existing applications using Java-based technologies, including Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, JDBC, and Servlets. Must be able to apply the SDLC concept and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications. Must have a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming. Strong communication skills are required as the position will interact with business owners. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum Requirements (Must to Have) Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 5 -6+ Years of working experience required on Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, JDBC. Experience from range of technologies such as Angular and React interfaces, REST, Spring Boot services, and SAML, Server-side technologies such as JBOSS, Messaging/MOM (JMS, MQSeries), and Web Services (REST). Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented (OO) design patterns, distributed databases, and data modeling techniques. Experience in the development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications. Knowledge of working with GIT, Jenkins, Maven, and Automated Deployment /Dev-ops will be a plus. Database design and writing complex SQL in an Oracle environment.
