JOB TITLE: Assistant Director

LOCATION; 100 % remote 

DURATION: 6+ MONTHS AND THAN TURN TO FULLTIME IF POSSIBLE 

 Student Information Systems Services
SQL experience as an Analyst, preferably PL-SQL.
Experience with job automations.
Experience with any CRM, SIS or ERP is a plus.
Has leadership qualities, this is a small group, we would like someone that can take charge as a technical lead.
Knows how to read programming languages or scripts. Can be any language, just will be helpful for them to at least be able to understand what a program or automation does.

This position will learn Ellucian Banner, and help us keep all jobs and processes for the Student functional areas in good working order, with the help of the team and also the teams in the functional areas.

ESSENTIAL:
Assists the appropriate Director in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and acts on their behalf when necessary.
Supervise 2 or more programmer analysts and system analysts including managing their workload, assisting with prioritization of tasks and providing training and support.
Assist the Director with mentoring members of the team and training in the use of various applications
Provide support for the Student Information Systems, Workday Integrations and Banner System applications.
Basic knowledge with Unix/Linux systems.
Supports all technical processes associated with Banner Student Financials and other areas
Manage, configure and maintain Appworx(Automic)/Snaplogic iPaaS processes and Banner integrations for Student Financials, Student Financial Aid and other student services.
Plan and coordinate the roll out of Banner releases and patches with the Ellucian Managed Services Provider (MSP)
Serve as a member of cross-functional teams to streamline existing processes and develop new functionality to support University-wide student related initiatives.
Is comfortable with SQL, specifically working with Oracle databases.
Works with analyzing data for extracts and integrations between systems, originating from Ellucian Banner, or using Ellucian Banner as a destination.
Works closely with all functional areas at the institution pertaining to the Student Information System (SIS), Ellucian Banner, assisting with any questions about Student Finance, Financial Aid and Student services.
Uses proper change management methods to ensure all changes to applications do not disrupt the business or are of minimal impact.
Works on incidents, service requests, change requests and projects, communicating with university users when necessary, using the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
Develops processes and procedures for activities pertaining to Student Financials and Student Financial Aid for Ellucian Banner.
Works closely with the Financial Aid Information Technology team, which functions in the Financial Aid Department, ensuring all activities are in sync with the processes and procedures for the Office of Information Technology.
Works closely with Tuition and Billing to ensure all jobs and activities pertaining to Student Financials are maintained.
Assesses business requirements, evaluating possible solutions with the application portfolio in place, and evaluates new applications providing recommendations.
Works with our vendors Ellucian and Broadcom when necessary to troubleshoot any issues with jobs or system processes.
Troubleshoots application incidents and monitors applications to ensure they are healthy.

Has the ability to learn new and unfamiliar technologies using public resources, documentation, and formal training.
