JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB TITLE: (JAVA) Software Engineer Consultant/Expert LOCATION: Dearborn, Michigan-HYBRID (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY) WORK VISA: USC AND GC ONLY CLIENT: Ford Job Description: This is a Full Stack Software Engineer position for Connected Vehicle Data Operating System - Vehicle Scheduler GDIA team. We are a team of passionate technologists with broad experience in Cloud and distributed systems, UX and Machine Learning. We think in terms of scale and architecture. Our Engineers are involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle, Conceptual design, development, deployment and DevOps. We spend most of our time writing code and validation. We love agile, extreme programming, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous deployment. Skills Required: Self-motivated and ability to build great software in a fast paced, and dynamic environment Experience in building high performance distributed systems solving large scale engineering challenges Meaningful experience in building microservices in Java Spring Boot, Kafka, and Angular/React/Java Script Understanding of databases like MSSQL, Hive, HBase, NoSQL, Big query etc. Experience in deploying production code on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Amazon AWS or GCP Hands-on experience on Java, Spring boot, Angular, React JS, GCP SQL. Strong in Software Programming/Engineering with a good understanding of DevOps (Jenkin, Tekton, Sonar Qube, FOSSA, Splunk, Dynatrace) tool and GitHub etc. Working knowledge and experience in transportation and automotive. Experience Required: 3+ years of Spring-Java and Kafka 2+ years of Angular Experience. 3+ years GCP Experience Self-motivated and ability to build great software in a fast paced, and dynamic environment leveraging GCP. Education Required: You have a Masters Degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor's Degree and no less than 5 years of equivalent experience.
