This is a resource who will deal with network switching for wired and wireless connections. The network is a combination of both Cisco and Aruba, using tools like Aruba Airwave & Cisco Prime. This resource may be required to go onsite to Norton locations for troubleshooting and perform activities like patching a cable, rebooting a switch, installing a battery in a UPS, etc. Experience working within ticketing systems for reporting issues and managing a ticket queue is important. This role will also be responsible for the administrative roles of the environment like config backups, firmware upgrades, log reviews, etc. There is an expectation of network discovery & documentation in this role. Responsibilities: Requires Aruba (CCNP) equivalent level engineer Candidates need to have expertise with Aruba 3810/5412/6200/6300 switches, Cisco 5K,7K,9Ks, ASR platforms and associated management platforms is expected (ios, nexusOS, Aruba OS, Aruba-cx). Strong understanding of routing/switching protocols. Experience with Aruba Clearpass as a NAC solution would be valuable in this role. Load-balancing and firewalls would be nice to have. The ability to be a self-starter and manage project tasks independently would be required; great customer service and collaboration with teammates; along with being able to create the appropriate level of documentation for new deployments.
