The opportunity requires the candidate to be able to work in a HYBRID fashion, with work on-site required depending on scheduled meetings, on-site training, etc. About the Role This position will serve as an application developer for the State Clients Information Management Division in designing, developing, and maintaining Java/JEE-based applications. This position will also include production support for one or more agency-critical applications. Proven experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Windows. Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain Java/JEE applications. Must Have 5+ years of Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design Methodology and Design Patterns like Singleton, Factory, Observer, Proxy, Demand, etc. 5+ years of Expertise in Core Java concepts, such as OOP Design, Multi-Threading, Generics, Exception Handling, Collections, Java Reflection, and Annotation. 5+ Years of Extensive practical experience in building enterprise applications using Java EE technologies. 5+ Years of Experience in at least one Java application framework, ORM frameworks, Configuration management, Build and testing tools. 5+ Years of Understanding of relational database concepts, specifically Oracle, and software development life cycle 5+ Years of Experience with Production Support for mission-critical applications, and with multiple operating systems: Linux, Unix, and Windows, alongside Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. 3+ Years of Experience in HealthCare EDI HIPAA X12 transactions 3+ Years of Experience in HealthCare (Medicaid) 2+ Years of Experience in application servers, IBM SOA products like IIB, ODM, WAS, WTX, MQ Job Responsibilities Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain Java/JEE applications. Understand and interpret customer requirements and develop solutions to meet requirements. Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic, and flowcharts. Plan and complete assigned work, plan, communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly Preferred: Experience and Working knowledge in Java Based projects Experience in HealthCare (Medicaid) and Healthcare EDI HIPAA X12 transactions Bachelors (Software Engineering; Computer Science or related degree required) |
