Senior Business Analyst Part time 20 hours a week Contract: 6+ months Hybrid Madison, WI (1-2 days in a month) JD: Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align information technology (IT) solutions with business initiatives. Prepares functional, system, and program specifications. Performs activities that are more complex, has latitude to apply skills to solve most problems without review, and has latitude to devise the approach and method to performing assignments. Regularly performs long-term or non-routine assignments with minimal supervisory intervention, seeking assistance when significant deviations are proposed or when unprecedented problems arise. Required Skills 6+ years experience with Documentation, including creating user acceptance test scripts, IT system analysis, Workflow analysis and process improvement Prior experience with software implementations Job responsibilities: Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements Devises or modifies moderately complex information systems including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary Determines and recommends programs required for optimal problem solution within cost/performance objectives Participates in requirements planning and feasibility determination Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that programs meet or exceed schedule commitments Works on tasks including project or functional requirements, functional design, functional configuration, testing, and documentation Trains, serves as a resource, and provides guidance to other IT business analysts on routine problems, work processes, and policies May work with external vendors or service providers Keywords: information technology Wisconsin |
